Distributed Proofreaders is a web-based interface and an international community of volunteers who help converting Public Domain books into e-books. For this exhibition they proofread the Mundaneum publications that appeared before 1923, and are in the Public Domain in the US. All those books are uploaded onto the Project Gutenberg archive. For this exhibition, An Mertens interviewed Linda Hamilton, the General Manager of Distributed Proofreaders.
