Lors du processus de création des jeux de données Algolit, une attention particulière a été accordée à la sélection des textes sources. Nous avons tenté d'avoir une diversité de tons de voix afin de mettre en évidence l'hétérogénéité au sein de leurs combinaisons.

Les textes ont été rassemblés à partir de aaaaarg.fail, gen.lib.rus.ec, archive.org et gutenberg.org, à travers des commandes de terminal telles que [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pdftotext pdftotext] afin de générer des fichiers .txt et dépouillés des signes de ponctuation à l'aide d’un  [https://gitlab.constantvzw.org/algolit/algolit/blob/master/algoliterary_encounter/algoliterary-toolkit/text-punctuation-clean-up.py fragment de code Python].
